Clinical Yoga Therapist

 

The Clinical Yoga Therapist course combines Accupressure and Yoga to enhance skills towards a personal therapeutic practice. This course teaches Chakra, 5 Element, and Energy Theories combined into a Body Mind Spirit system for diagnosis and treatment of body imbalances that underly illness and prevent healing. Using specific Yoga Asanas, Marma, Meridians, and Energy Techniques, the therapist targets imbalance and facilitates therapy for the client to incorporate into their daily life.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of study, participants will be able to perform the following:

.Apply and define diagnosis of Chakra, Meridian, and Body imbalances underling Lesional Pathologies
.Lead a group in Yoga Asanas and Guided Meditation
.Apply Acupressure, Flower Essences, Crystals, Thibetan singing bowls, or AcuChi Jin Shin to a client in Yoga Asanas
.Lead Chanting and Yoga Asanas in private and group sessions
.Lead breathing and Yoga Asanas in private and group sessions

Course Pre-Requisite

Students must have completed a 200 hour yoga instructor course OR holistic therapist course with equivalent yoga theory and learning.

2020 Scheduled Clinical Yoga Therapist Course:

Start JANUARY 2020 with Online Theory Study for next available
Onsite Dates: June 1, 2020 to July 3, 2020

Course Delivery: Combined Distance
Students attend 5 weeks online for distance study, 5 weeks onsite for practical study, and 15 weeks of clinical practice and healership skills
500 hours total study and training time. Course completion time 6 months

Distance Theory: 250 hours     Practical study onsite: 200 hours     Practical clinic applications: 50 hours.

This program does not require approval by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training. As such, the registrar did not review this program.
